Southport Together Fundraising Event

Family Fun Day For Local Hospitals and North West Air Ambulance

Visit the park on 1st September 2024 for a spectacular family fun day in aid of our local hospitals, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, and North West Air Ambulance.

The whole team at Southport Pleasureland, along with our friends at the Royal British Legion, have been working hard over the past few weeks to organise a fundraiser on 1st of September, with proceeds to be donated to our local hospitals, including Alder Hey, and North West Air Ambulance.

This is  a chance for families to come together  to have fun and relax before the kids go back to school.

From 11 am on Sunday 1st September, you’ll get full access to the park for just £15 each (children under 90 cm go free), with proceeds going to our fundraising efforts. Ticket prices get you access to all our rides and attractions. But this won’t be any normal day at the park – included in your ticket you’ll also get to enjoy a spectacular line up of entertainment including two stages of outstanding music acts.

Read on to find out what you can expect…

Outstanding Musical Acts

We’ve got something for every musical taste – with three stages featuring 15 acts (and counting!) you might want to bring your dancing shoes. In addition to some absolutely wonderful local artists, our line up may just include a familiar face or two…

Music Royalty Ian Van Dahl and  Aziz Ibrahim will play our main stage. Ian Van Dahl is well known for the classic 2000 hit Castles in the Sky, while Aziz is best known as lead guitarist in The Stone Roses (and subsequently alongside Ian Brown after their split), Simply Red, Paul Weller, and Asia, Aziz has played some of the biggest stages in the world. We can’t wait to welcome them to Southport.

And for indie fans, North West band The Lilacs will be taking to the main stage in the afternoon. This band has taken the indie rock scene by storm these last few years, and they boast some impressive credentials; with over half a million streams, two appearances at the Isle of Wight festival, and set to headline at the Manchester O2 this coming November, be sure catch their set here first.

Ian Lawton is former lead singer of Manchester band 1913. Ian has forged a solo career with his new project ETTO and has toured Europe with America and the late great Chuck Berry!

And if it’s a little bit of country you’re craving, Manchester’s own new school Dolly Parton, Neeve Zahra, will also take to the stage. Neeve has quickly become a rising star in the UK country music scene. Her unique voice and mature lyrics have garnered attention from industry professionals and fans alike. She prides herself on her stripped back soulful simplicity: Four chords and the truth!

All Day Entertainment

From Stilt Walkers to Dinosaur Rangers, kids and adults alike will love the all day entertainment throughout the park
